As a technology company we are continuously monitoring developments in new computational devices and we are best placed to help business partners port our IP to their platforms. With years of experience building both stand alone software applications and software plug-ins we are able to test our IP in products that are available to the end user and so we can demonstrate with confidence that our technology is usable and portable.

Through our partners, end user feedback helps us continuously improve our technology to address those numerous usability issues that only manifest when actually engaging in product support. As our CEO has been working in R&D for Digital Cinema and broadcast for many years we can offer consulting services to help clients understand how their video frameworks should be deployed and what technology is best placed to appeal to their emerging markets. Typically all three of these modes are involved when working with clients.

GPP has worked with plug-in manufacturers like The Foundry and RedGiantSoftware to create tools commonly used in postproduction. The Foundry's Kronos, Noise Reducer, Matting, Rigremoval all employ algorithms developed in collaboration with our CEO. We have solid backgrounds in DSP for video and image processing and so are able to adapt technology to solve new problems as they arise. The Matrix, SpiderMan, XMen, Coraline all use these ideas under the hood in post-production.

We have worked with other post-production houses to use advanced DSP algorithms to solve shooting accidents or common workflow issues. In a recent shoot for Chandni Chowk, gate shutter mistiming caused heavy blur on the images and there were other issues with internal reflections in the cameras used. We employed adaptive deblurring technology and fourier domain based techniques for treating both of these problems. Our PostDSP engine manifests as a library in C++ running under several platforms and many of our products are built using this engine.

Magic Bullet Steady

Magic Bullet Steady is a video effects plug-in for Adobe After Effects. Magic Bullet Steady is part of Red Giant Software's Magic Bullet Suite of plug-ins. Color Claw

Color Claw is an iPhone app that uses GPP's Colour Transfer Technology. Color Claw allows the user to adjust the color of a photo using another photo to provide the desired colors. More Information on ColorClaw

We have created a separate library of routines that minimise the memory footprint of our algorithms and adapt them for fixed point or low memory devices. As an example of collaboration with partners in this space : we have been working with Movidia Ltd to port our tools to their new low power floating point device. GPPDeshake and GPPSloMo have been popular tools.

A key advantage of our experience in high end post-production is that we are able to exploit different technology to allow clients like Movidia to handle high quality HD footage on their mobile devices. This is particularly important because errors caused by algorithms which are not visible at low resolution, become very annoying at high resolution. In keeping with our principle of flexibility, our mobile library is available for licensing.
